A six-fold paper screen painted in ink and colour on a gold ground with finches, suzume (sparrows) and hiyadori (brown eared bulbul) in a river landscape with plum, bamboo and flowers. The plum is shown in full bloom and sets the scene of early spring in this rich Kachoga screen. Kano School
