A six fold paper screen painted in ink and colour on a gold ground with karako (Chinese boys) at play in and around a river-side pavilion which sits in a rocky landscape amongst golden clouds. The children are shown enjoying numerous pursuits which include acting out theatrical scenes, archery and games such as ‘follow my leader’.
