A six fold paper screen painted in ink and colour on a gold ground with karako (Chinese boys) at play in and around a river-side pavilion which sits in a rocky and mountainous landscape amongst golden clouds. The children are shown enjoying numerous pursuits such as playing Go, fishing, playing musical instruments and admiring scroll paintings.
